At Millersburg Christian Church, we are very passionate about changing lives! Our belief is that God has a plan for each of us and that plan involves making an impact on our community.
God is doing great things in the lives of His servants in Holmes County, Ohio, and we are thankful to be His tools. We thank Him for all that He has done and eagerly anticipate all that He is going to do.
MCC is a team of people, excited about reaching those who do not know Jesus Christ. We believe that God has drawn each of us together for a specific purpose, and together we will make a difference changing the lives of the sick and the saved.
What To Expect:
In order to help create the welcoming and inviting atmosphere that we want our church to be, we have decided to include some information about our church for first time guests.
At Millersburg Christian Church, we are all about you being you. We try to create an upbeat and comfortable atmosphere. Jeans and T-shirts are welcome, as are suits and ties. It is our desire that you come as you are.
Worship at 10:30 Every Sunday
While we sing mostly new and contemporary songs, we also appreciate our heritage in the hymns of old. We include multimedia applications in our services. We observe the Lord's Supper each and every Sunday. We believe that God desires worshippers in Spirit and in Truth, therefore, we hope that everyone is free to worship as they feel led.
Our Children's Ministry volunteers have each gone through our application process which includes a background check. We do this in order to provide an environment where your children are safe. When you arrive with children fifth grade or under, please take them to the hallway past the sanctuary, this is our Children's Ministry wing - also known as Genesis. In order for us to property identify your child and provide them with quality care, they will be entered electronically into our computer system. Your child will then receive a name tag with their photo on it. Our friendly Children's Ministry volunteers will be able to guide you through the rest of the process. We deeply care about your children and their safety is a priority to us. If you have questions, you may contact our Church Office.
It is the goal of every sermon to be preached with biblical truth presented in today's culture. We believe that all of the Bible is true and applicable for life today. This is the goal of our messages. We promise that we will not preach over the heads of our audience. Honest, we won't! We promise to deliver and inspiring message from scripture week in and week out with the goal of leading you to a life changing experience.
If it is your first time visiting MCC, we request that you fill out the form in the bulletin and give it to one of the greeters at the doors and you will receive a free gift. Do not feel obligated to give financially, as this is something expected of our regular attenders. We want you to be ministered to. We offer communion every week. It is offered for all Christians to remember Jesus' sacrifice. Please take as it is served. We offer an invitation after each sermon. This is for those who desire to give their lives to Christ through baptism. You are also invited to rededicate your life to Christ or become a member of the church.
The Essentials We Believe:
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.
Genesis 1:1,26,27 • 3:22; Psalm 90:2 • Matthew 28:19
1 Peter 1:2 • 2 Corinthians 13:14
2.ABOUT JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.
Matthew 1:22, 23 • Isaiah 9:6 • John 1:1-5 • John 14:10-30
Hebrews 4:14, 15 • 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4 • Romans 1:3, 4
Acts 1:9-11 • 1 Timothy 6:14, 15 • Titus 2:13 • John 3:16
3.ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation through death. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer a spiritual gift when they are saved. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily.

1 Corinthians 2:12 & 3:16 • Ephesians 1:13 • Galatians 5:25 • Ephesians 5:18
4.ABOUT THE BIBLE The Bible is God’s Word to us. Human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit wrote it. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. God inspired the autographs (original writings) of the Scripture and those autographs were consequently without error. We accept the Bible as the final authority for all matters of faith and practice.

5.ABOUT HUMAN BEINGS
People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin”. This attitude separates people from God and causes many problems in life.
Genesis 1:27 • Psalm 8:3-6 • Isaiah 53:6a • Romans 3:23 • Isaiah 59:1, 2
We believe the Bible teaches that salvation and the forgiveness of sins is a free gift to us but that we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. We believe the Bible teaches that one receives God's grace by putting faith in Christ, repenting of sin, confessing Christ, and being immersed into Christ, but that none of these is sufficient in and of itself for the assurance of salvation.
Matthew 26:28 • Ephesians 2:8-9 • 1 Peter 1:18-19 • 1 John 1:7 • Romans 6:23
John 14:6 & 1:12 • Titus 3:5 • Romans 5:1-2, 9 • Luke 24:45-47 • Acts 3:19 & 17:30
2 Peter 3:9 • Matthew 10:32 • Romans 10:9 • Philippians 2:11 • 1 John 4:15 •
Acts 2:38 • Romans 6:1-7 • Galatians 3:26-27 • Colossians 2:12 • 1 Peter 3:21
People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.
