At Millersburg Christian Church, we are very passionate about changing lives! Our belief is that God has a plan for each of us and that plan involves making an impact on our community.
God is doing great things in the lives of His servants in Holmes County, Ohio, and we are thankful to be His tools. We thank Him for all that He has done and eagerly anticipate all that He is going to do.
MCC is a team of people, excited about reaching those who do not know Jesus Christ. We believe that God has drawn each of us together for a specific purpose as we life as Faithful Followers of Jesus.
What To Expect:
In order to help create the welcoming and inviting atmosphere that we want our church to be, we have decided to include some information about our church for first time guests.
At Millersburg Christian Church, we are all about you being you. We try to create an upbeat and comfortable atmosphere. Jeans and T-shirts are welcome, as are suits and ties. It is our desire that you come as you are.
Worship at 10:30 Every Sunday
While we sing mostly new and contemporary songs, we also appreciate our heritage in the hymns of old. We include multimedia applications in our services. We observe the Lord's Supper each and every Sunday. We believe that God desires worshippers in Spirit and in Truth, therefore, we hope that everyone is free to worship as they feel led.
Our Children's Ministry volunteers have each gone through our application process which includes a background check. We do this in order to provide an environment where your children are safe. When you arrive with children fifth grade or under, please take them to the hallway past the sanctuary, this is our Children's Ministry wing - also known as Genesis. In order for us to property identify your child and provide them with quality care, they will be entered electronically into our computer system. Your child will then receive a name tag with their photo on it. Our friendly Children's Ministry volunteers will be able to guide you through the rest of the process. We deeply care about your children and their safety is a priority to us. If you have questions, you may contact our Church Office.
It is the goal of every sermon to be preached with biblical truth presented in today's culture. We believe that all of the Bible is true and applicable for life today. This is the goal of our messages. We promise that we will not preach over the heads of our audience. Honest, we won't! We promise to deliver and inspiring message from scripture week in and week out with the goal of leading you to a life changing experience.
If it is your first time visiting MCC, we request that you fill out the form in the bulletin and give it to one of the greeters at the doors and you will receive a free gift. Do not feel obligated to give financially, as this is something expected of our regular attenders. We want you to be ministered to. We offer communion every week. It is offered for all Christians to remember Jesus' sacrifice. Please take as it is served. We offer an invitation after each sermon. This is for those who desire to give their lives to Christ through baptism. You are also invited to rededicate your life to Christ or become a member of the church.
What We Believe:
We believe in ONE God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit
We believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of all things visible and invisible.
We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the eternal Word, the one and only Savior.
• Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, both fully human and fully divine; Who lived a sinless life; Who suffered and was crucified as an atonement for sin; Who rose again bodily from the dead on the third day; Who ascended into Heaven; and Who will return in victory to rule forever.
We believe in the Holy Spirit
• Who convicts of sin; Who indwells every Christian; Who helps us in our weakness and intercedes for us in prayer; and Who empowers us to a fruitful Christian life.
We believe in the Bible - God's Word
We believe God inspired the original writings of the Scripture and those original writings were consequently without error.
We believe that the Bible is the final authority for all matters of faith, truth, morality and Christian living.
We believe in the Gospel - the Good News of Salvation
That man, created by God, willfully sinned against God and is consequently lost and without hope apart from Jesus Christ.
That salvation - the forgiveness of sins - is only by grace through the blood of Jesus Christ.
That one receives salvation by putting faith in Christ, and living as a Faithful Follower of Jesus
That those who have received salvation through faith in Jesus Christ are sent into the world to proclaim the Gospel and to love and serve the world just as Jesus Himself did.
We believe in the Church - God's Redeemed People
We believe in the Church of Jesus Christ, consisting of all Christians everywhere; and organized into local assemblies, called churches.
We believe the Bible teaches that every Christian should be an active member of a local church.
We believe that the Elders of the church are the overseers of its affairs and the shepherds of its members; and that they are responsible for the oversight, instruction, edification, discipline, and restoration of church members.
We believe that the Bible instructs church members to:
• Meet together regularly for fellowship, worship, teaching and the Lord's Supper.
• Use our natural abilities and spiritual gifts to serve one another.
• Love one another, bear with one another, accept one another, and forgive one another.
• Seek unity, agreement, and peace with one another.
• Encourage and build up one another.
• Bear one another's burdens and pray for one another.
• Spur one another to love and good deeds.
• Pursue personal holiness and obedience to God's Word.
• Strive together to fulfill the Great Commission.
